Armed Robbers Hit Los Angeles Pokémon Card Collector, Stealing Hundreds of Thousands in Rare Cards
Los Angeles authorities are investigating a brazen armed robbery in West Los Angeles where a collector was confronted at gunpoint and had a rare Pokémon card collection worth approximately $200,000–$300,000 stolen late Sunday night outside the RWT Collective shop in the Sawtelle area. The suspects fled in a vehicle, and no arrests have yet been made. Police and card shop owners have released suspect images and urged increased vigilance as this incident is part of a growing string of high-value collectible thefts across Southern California. Additional burglaries in the region have resulted in further losses of valuable trading cards, prompting calls for better security and safe trading practices among collectors.
